We are very excited to share some information with you about James Blake Butler’s latest work at Autin Dance Theatre. James will be performing as Eko the sea giant in Out of the Deep Blue, an outdoor physical theatre performance featuring a large-scale Sea Giant Puppet operated by 5 puppeteers and contemporary dancers, inspired by the themes of climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis. We can’t wait to see Eko in action!

Make sure you’re there to meet EKO and Violet for the first time. These two beings – an ancient sea creature, a young girl – offer us their stories and take us on a journey to learn about the world around us and what we as humans are doing to it.
